the American Croatian Business Association To become a member there are just a few simple steps that you need to take. First we need to consider your eligibility to becoming a member of ACBA. The following outline describes membership eligibility requirements: 1) Any man, women or business organization that is of Croatian descent and actively engaged in a business enterprise or self-employment. 2) Any kind of trade or commerce, business, service or profession such as architects, doctors, lawyers, accountants, bankers, etc. of Croatian or other ethnic origin, engaged in free enterprise for profit. 3) All members must be engaged in a legitimate business, operating under the highest moral and ethical standards, supporting the Constitution of the United States of America. 4) Prospective members must be recommended by at least two(2) members in good standing and acceptance must be approved with a majority vote by the governing committee. 5) Regular membership - $200.00 annual dues. All dues are due at the beginning of the fiscal year and shall be paid to the Treasurer of the Association. 6) Voting- each Regular member or member desigree has one(1) vote. 7) Any member or prospective member not meeting all requirements can be rejected or have membership terminated by the Board of Directors for misconduct or unethical business practices. |
Benifits
of ACBA membership includes: 1) An opportunity to network with people of the same heritage, who have the same common interests, ideas, experiences and who share the desire for mutual growth. 2) Membership entitles you to utilize the advice and support of all of our experienced members willing to share such. 3) An opportunity to utilize any benefits provided to members at this time. 4) Members in good standing may receive customer or supplier recommendations from other members. 5) Members are encouraged to patronize one another, to use each other's services whenever possible and recommend a member to other companies which may require services. 6) Membership roster will be provided to all members who request one. 7) News for members- periodic newsletter- highlighting activities of ACBA, its members, directors and commitee, news on business activities, state of the economy, new technology developments and the Croatian community in general, and advantages of being able to access "For Members Only" on our Web site. 8) Obtain, whenever possible, domestic and international business leads and notices of business opportunities for its members. 9) Cultural and social activities for members' families and their guests and friends.
